Thanks Perle. To be honest - I'm not sure yet. There are obvious pros and cons to doing it with or without a company, that I will need to weigh up. Needless to say though, I will not be cutting corners. I too had read 6-8 days for the trip and am ho…

Welcome to the Child's i Foundation Community!

This is the network for the Child's i Foundation community of supporters. The purpose of the ning is to help connect everyone who is involved in the charity, or wants to help out.

If you're new here, please join the 'I wanna Help' group (http://childsi.ning.com/group/iwannahelp), and tell us a little bit about yourself. We'll say hello and point you in the right direction so you know what's happening. You can also join in the forum, where most general conversation takes place.

If you're an old hand at helping out CiF - the ning can help you connect to the rest of the supporters. Join a few groups and either post questions or comments, or respond to cries for help.

If you need any more help, speak to Steve (http://childsi.ning.com/profile/SteveBridger) or Perle (http://childsi.ning.com/profile/PerleLaouenanCatchpole)

This afternoon, Megan, Charles from Home Start and I sat down for the first time and discussed our prevention programme. The progamme has been very well received in Uganda as there is no other… Continue

Kenny’s Tips and Tricks on how to get sponsorship

I’ve said it before, and I’m saying it again – you lot are awesome. At our Trustees Meeting on Wednesday, collective jaws dropped when I told them we’d raised nearly £17,000 from Just Giving sporting challenges, including Julien’s mammoth bike trip, our parachute jump and the recent nail-biting abseil.

Now, I haven’t exactly mastered the art of ‘asking’ people to give money but one man who seems to know what he’s doing in this field is Supporter Kenny Monaghan: he’s raised almost £800 for his s… Continue
